Scenic drives to attractions were enjoyable.
The restaurant was unexpectedly closed during my stay, which forced me to travel to Selfoss for food. Additionally, the breakfast was quite simple with limited options, and the hot tub, while there, lacked proper placement for enjoying the Northern Lights. Overall, the experience felt disappointing and not worth the price paid.

Families should give it a shot
We rented a two bedroom suite and had an excellent time. The owners were cool with my daughter walking in the beautiful fields and even visiting the neighbor's horses.
Didn't come cheap but worth it.

so disappointed with borealis, it’s like they completely forgot I was here. the hot tub was literally in no man’s land, it woudl ve been great to see auroras—if only it was anyone’s priority. breakfast was cringe, and please, flies everywhere, so unclassy. I almost gave a good review, but I just couldn’t, honestly.

10/10
The staff were just amazing! We had a big group and they really went above and beyond to accommodate our food allergies—ya know, you just don’t find that everywhere. And the dinner was outta this world, more food than we could handle! The sky was lit over those mountains as we soaked in the hot tub. Just perfect!

We had a fantastic time exploring the nearby Ljósafoss Golf Course. Our Standard Double Room was cozy. The staff treated my niece and family wonderfully, and the breakfast was a delightful spread of traditional Icelandic dishes.
My children wanted more activities available for kids.
